Wedding & Event Coordinator
This is not your average event coordinator role! Cocktail Caravan is a boutique beverage catering operation looking for an enthusiastic Wedding + Event Coordinator to grow with us. The Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of events as it relates to bar service, from the first planning conversation through service. Because our focus is on coordinating bar service, it is essential that our Wedding + Event Coordinator have bar-related food and bev experience.

Events range from small, intimate dinner parties to large corporate events, festivals, and lots of weddings. A successful coordinator will create a positive experience for the client, presenting an extra organized and streamlined process by working closely with the Sales & Partnership Director, Beverage Manager, Operations Manager, and bar staff. Candidate will play a key role in creating and maintaining client and vendor relationships, which are at the heart of our business. This role has the potential to expand and evolve the role as the business grows.

About You
You’re a hospitality/customer service professional who can charm anyone! With a background in the food and bev industry and strong management skills, you’re ready to bring your super organized skill set to our team to help us execute events. You’re used to managing your own deadlines efficiently and are ready to dive in head first to help client’s plan the bar for their events and get your hands dirty on-site at events. You’ll create such an amazing experience for our clients that they can’t wait to work with you again and tell everyone how amazing you are! The ideal candidate lives close to our Boulder headquarters.


  • Own each event from the time the event is booked through service and be the primary on-site contact for events you plan, making appearances at most events.
  • Manage and train bar staff, giving them the what they need to be at their best
  • Plan events with clients: Cover all event details related to bar service—providing the client with all the information they need to make well informed decisions about their events—offering suggestions to facilitate a smooth service.
  • Communicate, in great detail, all known aspects of events to the team for seamless experience from start to finish, completing event-related goals and tasks on time.
  • Keep detailed records of all event details, orders, up-sells, etc.
  • Coordinate logistics for events, including organizing event supplies, deliveries, etc.
  • Be well versed in all products and packages, policies, legal issues regarding sale and service of alcohol.
  • Handle planning and execution of occasional marketing events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Participate in networking events to build additional relationships and leads.
  • Coordinator is NOT responsible for making sales, though upsells are encouraged


  • Serious attention to detail (very important) on paper, in communication, and visually (ie bar setup/aesthetic)
  • A deep love for customer service and innate desire to make the clients day and forge meaningful connections
  • Responsible, professional, and positive(!) in all instances
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills, familiarity with Tripleseat, Google Suite, Trello a bonus
  • Experience driving a trailer a bonus, though not required


  • Five years of food and beverage experience
  • Two years management experience
  • Knowledge of local event scene a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that requires a more significant time investment during busy season
  • Previous experience working with brides and grooms
  • Reliable vehicle and clean driving record

Cocktail Caravan is a boutique beverage catering service with several one-of-a-kind traveling mobile bars that primarily serve the metro Boulder/Denver area. We create lasting memories based around unique bar programs and experiences at private events and meaningful connections with our clients and guests. Our goal is to go above and beyond for the client and their guests at each event, bringing enthusiasm and excitement, beautiful bar setups, and stunning cocktails. Details are the foundation for everything we do! We work hard and value working with others who are responsible go-getters that self-manage their tasks and time. 

This is a full-time, in-house position with hours that can vary greatly depending on the season, flexibility and being available for events are key. Salary consists of primarily base salary with some commission, and tips, $45,000 – $55,000 DOE.

About You
You radiate warmth behind the bar/on the floor and bring a positive outlook to every guest interaction. Guests love having you behind the bar so much so that they regularly request you specifically! You’re well-versed in the history, specifics, and production of spirits, wine, and beer and are comfortable sharing this knowledge with guests. You take pride in the details: perfect fresh garnishes, well-balanced cocktails, and a clean work station and bar. That being said, you’re still laid back and ready to roll with the punches as they come in at events (often!) and don’t take things too seriously behind the bar (its cocktails, not brain surgery!). It makes you feel awesome when you do something that helps, enhances, or makes another human’s day.

The Nitty-Gritty
This is a perfect role for a service industry professional who is ready to share their excellent customer service skills and bar knowledge with new guests in settings that vary daily from intimate dinners to large-scale corporate events to weddings. We are more than happy to train the right servers and bar backs to work behind our bars.

Responsibilities + Expectations

  • Setup and breakdown bar, including tools and décor
  • Occasionally transport bar tools and décor to events
  • Travel to various venues and locations in the metro-Denver/Boulder and surrounding areas
  • Facilitate excellent guest experiences at events
  • Follow our unique protocol and procedure for service at events
  • Contribute to the team effort, chipping in where needed at events
  • Maintain high standards for cocktail presentation and service
  • Recommend changes in products, service, and policy as needed
  • General drive to go above and beyond on a daily basis
  • Bring positive energy to events and stay positive throughout service
  • Be an amazing representative of the Cocktail Caravan brand
  • Supersede expectations by staying on top of and ahead of what needs to be done
  • Be well versed in the brand, all products and packages, policies, legal issues regarding the service of alcohol

Skills + Requirements

  • Responsible and professional in all instances
  • Serious attention to detail (Like, SERIOUS.)
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, primarily afternoons and evenings weekdays, always weekends
  • Knowledge of local event scene a plus
  • Three years bartending, serving, or bar back experience
  • Current on-premise TIPS certification (must be in-person training, e-tips not valid)

Vary, pending event types and timelines. More hours in high season.

Hourly at $23/hour. Most of the time, but not always, tips.
