We’re looking for an enthusiastic Wedding + Event Coordinator to grow with us! The Coordinator will be responsible for the planning and execution of events as it relates to bar service (exclusively), from the first planning conversation through service.

Events range from small, intimate dinner parties to large corporate events, festivals, and lots of weddings. A successful coordinator will create a positive experience for the client, presenting an extra organized and streamlined process by working closely with the Sales & Partnership Director, Event Manager, and event bar staff. Candidate will play a key role in creating and maintaining client and vendor relationships, which are at the heart of our business. This role has the potential to expand and evolve the role as the business grows.

About You
You love making someone’s day! Creating positive experiences and happy guests motivates you and you hop out of bed every morning ready to do it again! You have either 2-3 years of bartending experience and 2-3 years of event planning experience or have 2-3 years of restaurant management under your belt. Either way, you’re ready to dive in head first to help client’s plan the bar for their events and get your hands dirty on-site at events. The ideal candidate lives close to our Boulder headquarters, or is willing to drive the extra distance to and from events.

Responsibilities

  • Own each event from the time the event is booked through service and be the primary on-site contact for events you plan, making appearances at most events.
  • Plan events with clients: Cover event details related to the bar, providing options and suggestions for smooth service and confirming details with other vendors.
  • Communicate, in great detail, all known aspects of events to the team for seamless experience from start to finish.
  • Keep detailed records of all event details, orders, up-sells, etc.
  • Organize event gear before and after service, ensuring bar staff is set up for success.
  • Be well versed in all products and packages, policies, legal issues regarding sale and service of alcohol.
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related goals and tasks on time.
  • Take on a leadership role at events, leading other event staff by example, and participate in training bar staff.
  • Handle planning and execution of occasional marketing events.
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and vendors.
  • Occasionally participate in networking events to build additional relationships and leads.

Skills

  • Serious attention to detail (very important)
  • A deep love for customer service and innate desire to make the clients day
  • Responsible and professional in all instances
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong computer skills

Requirements

  • 2-3 years bartending AND event planning experience
  • OR 2-3 years of restaurant management experience
  • Knowledge of local event scene a plus
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that requires a more significant time investment in busy season
  • Previous experience working with brides and grooms preferred
  • Reliable vehicle and clean driving record

EVENT BARTENDER
Posted August 20, 2019

About You
You radiate warmth behind the bar and bring a positive outlook to every guest interaction. Guests love having you behind the bar so much so that they regularly request you specifically! You’re well-versed in the history, specifics, and production of spirits, wine, and beer and are comfortable sharing this knowledge with guests. You take pride in the details: perfect fresh garnishes, well-balanced cocktails, and a clean work station and bar. That being said, you’re still laid back and ready to roll with the punches as they come in at events (often!) and don’t take things too seriously behind the bar (its cocktails, not brain surgery!). It makes you feel awesome when you do something that helps, enhances, or makes another human’s day.
