Four Ways to Master Cocktail Carvan’s Coin Style Margarita Mix

Cocktail Caravan’s Coin Style Margarita mix is pretty simple. The ingredients are fresh-pressed lime and lemon plus simple syrup. But these incredibly vibrant flavors can do so much more than just make a great margarita.

The easiest way to unleash the versatility of this mix is to use different spirits to make fresh classic cocktails. If you want to get creative (very easily to boot), just get some basic fruit, herbs, and/or vegetables to take your home bartending to a new level.

Here are four easy ways to enjoy Cocktail Caravan’s Coin Style Margarita Mix, and a few variations of each cocktail as well.

Order Cocktail Caravan’s Coin Style Margarita Mix

Coin Style Margarita

    1. Mix 1 part tequila, 0.5 parts orange liqueur (we recommend Grove Street Orange Liqueur), 2 parts Cocktail Caravan Margarita Mix
    2. Shake vigorously with ice, pour over ice in a glass with a salted rim (optional)
    3. Enjoy!

Margarita Variations

    1. Use Tajin instead of salt on the rim of the glass.
    2. Muddle freshly cut jalapeno slices into the shaker before shaking to add some spicy flavor.
    3. Add a small pour of amaretto to the top of the drink.

Gimlet

    1. Mix 1 part gin, 2 parts Cocktail Caravan Margarita Mix
    2. Shake with ice, pour into a chilled martini glass with no ice, and garnish with a lime wedge
    3. Enjoy!

Gimlet Variations

    1. Use vodka instead of gin for a fresh vodka gimlet
    2. Shake and garnish with slices of cucumber (especially if using a botanical gin variety, such as Hendricks)
    3. Garnish with fresh mint leaves instead of lime and add a splash of sparkling water to make your own South Side cocktail

Classic Daiquiri

    1. Mix 1 part authentic barrel-aged rum with 2 parts Coin Style Margarita Mix
    2. Shake with ice, pour into a chilled martini glass without ice, and garnish with a lime wedge
    3. Enjoy!

Daiquiri Variations

    1. Muddle dried tropical fruit in the shaker before adding the rum and mix to add flavors of your choice (mango, pineapple, or banana work especially well). Also, garnish with the same fruit instead of lime
    2. A splash of soda water for effervescence does wonders
    3. Add an egg white foam for a fuller mouth feel and to dial down the tartness (Pro tip: check out Cocktail Caravan’s guide to using egg whites in your cocktails and mocktails).

Margarita Mocktail

    1. Mix 1 part soda water with 1-2 parts Coin Style Margarita Mix (to taste)
    2. Add ice, garnish with lime
    3. Enjoy!

Mocktail Variations

    1. Cocktail Caravan’s Coin Style Margarita Mix is usually very tart, so a little bit of sweetener, such as agave syrup, can help adjust the flavor without diluting the mix too much with sparkling water.
    2. Cocktail Carvan’s flavors are extremely vibrant and fresh! Using unflavored soda water works best since the “natural flavors” of some sparkling waters can fight the fresh flavors of the mix.
