Holiday Party Essentials

While we know good cocktails are the foundation to the best parties, we realize the best of the best have a few other key ingredients that really make them sparkle. Here are our top picks on holiday party essentials— everything you need to make your holiday party a hit.

Top Chef: Seasonal Montana
We’re going to let you in on a secret: Top Chef alum Chef Melissa Harrison is moving her catering company to Boulder— but just for this winter. Known for taking the best of her surroundings and turning it into edible art, don’t miss this chance to treat your guests to dinner by a legend.

Chocolate Dreams: Fortuna Chocolate
The local chocolate experts don’t mess around. Fortuna (you might have seen their chocolate truck) has traveled the world in search of the best chocolate—and lucky for us—brought it to Colorado. The chocolate ganache truffles are mouth-wateringly good, and the drinking chocolate…speechless.

Get Creative: The Boulder Creative Collective Warehouse
This industrial warehouse turned creative workspace is Boulder’s newest off-the-radar venue. The 3,000-square foot space has an urban vibe and is lined by small artists studios on two sides. A rotating collection of art including a larger-than-life mural on one wall is the perfect backdrop for event photos.

It’s Electric: The Studio Boulder
This hip, funky space is Boulder’s hidden gem of event venues. A part-time creative co-working space, the Studio doubles as an industrial chic event venue on the weekends that wow’s guests with it’s one-of-a-kind light installations (like a custom made ‘It’s Electric’ installation). Bonus: A refurbished airstream does double duty as a a quiet meeting space during the day and secret hideaway during events.

Drop a Beat: DJ Bella Scratch
DJ Bella drops a serious beat and sets the mood for any party. Her open format style means the set list can include anything from country to hip hop to holiday music (based on your preference), or include a little bit of everything. Bonus— there’s a 99% chance she’ll also be the life of the party.

Keep it Simple: Infinite Monkey Theorem Cans
Available in four-packs, the 250ml cans give you a liter of wine in all (1/4 more than your average 750ml bottle of wine) and costs roughly the same as an average $15 bottle of wine. The slightly effervescent Merlot is rich with dark berries and currants, or mix it up with a dry-hopped Sauvignon Blanc.

Keep it Local: Finkel and Garf
Winners of a gold medal at 2017 Great American Beer Festival, Finkel and Garf brewery has quickly become a Colorado staple. From Oatmeal Milk Stout (the crowned winner) to Dry Hopped Amber and fruity wheats, there’s something for every palate.

Show Thanks: Haven
Thank your hosts for putting together a most excellent soiree with a thoughtful gift from the well-curated selection at Haven. Hand-crafted candles made with coconut that can be used as a perfume balm, hand-made Turkish throws, and cult apothecary finds are sought-after gifts. We heard bartenders like them too (just saying).

And, of course, Lolita loves a good party and can’t wait to be the cherry on top of your holiday soiree. Learn more about our services, our vintage mobile bar, or get a quote for your event here. Happy cocktailing!
